Individual activities wrap up for new album to be released in the fall
Longest-running idol group Shinhwa will be returning to the music scene in the second half of this year.
Having held their 18th anniversary concert earlier this year, the members went on to focus on their individual activities, but are now preparing for group activities with their new album scheduled to be released in the fall.
The members will be wrapping up their individual activities soon and start work on the album preparations. According to leader Eric, planning is in progress for the sourcing of new songs as well as the album concept. The group will be focusing on album promotions until the end of the year, followed by plans for an Asian concert tour to China, Taiwan etc next year.
A representative from Shinhwa company said, “Although individual activities are important, the members take a lot of pride in the group activities. Through consistent promotions, they hope to repay the fans who have supported them through their slumps and times of crisis.
Members Eric, Kim Dongwan, Lee Minwoo and Shin Hyesung have delivered good results in their individual activities, and this in turn has raised expectations for Shinhwa’s group activities.
Eric has received much love through the tvN drama Oh Hae Young Again, while Lee Minwoo has staged a successful 2-day concert in Beijing as solo singer M. Shin Hyesung is currently taking on team director duties and imparting knowledge and experience on Mnet’s Boys24 with Lee Minwoo. Like fellow member Eric, Kim Dongwan is also active as an actor, having appeared in the 2016 omnibus movie If You Were Me.
