Eric confirms ‘Discovery of Romance’, reunites with Jung Yumi after 7 years

What a great way to start the week!!!

Shinhwa’s Eric (real name Mun Jung Hyuk) has confirmed his casting as the leading man for ‘Discovery of Romance’.

Eric will be making his drama comeback this coming August, 3 years after 2011’s ‘Spy Myungwol’, in the new KBS Mon-Tue drama ‘Discovery of Romance’ (script by Jung Hyun Jung / directed by Kim Sung Yoon) as the male protagonist Kang Tae Ha. (t/n: Any relation to Que Sera Sera’s Kang Tae Joo? Hehe)

‘Discovery of Romance’ comes from writer Jung Hyun Jung, who has also penned all 3 instalments of tvN’s ‘I Need Romance’ series, and is a romantic comedy that depicts the story of the female protagonist who sets off on finding her true love after encountering her ex-boyfriend while being in a relationship.

Eric takes on the role of Kang Tae Ha, the CEO of an interior design firm, who is brimming with confidence in both work and love. Intelligent with a strong competitive streak who doesn’t fail to get what he wants, but he is extremely romantic when it comes to love. After meeting his ex-girlfriend, he starts to learn about what true love is.

In particular, Eric will be teaming up once again with Jung Yumi who plays the female protagonist, 7 years after they worked together on MBC’s ‘Que Sera Sera’ in 2007.

Eric’s management company E&J Entertainment CEO Lee Jong Hyung said, “Eric will be greeting TV viewers after 3 years with ‘Discovery of Romance’. As he is appearing in a drama after such a long break, he will work hard to show the perfect image of Kang Tae Ha.”

  1. “Eric will be making his drama comeback this coming August as the male protagonist Kang Tae Ha. (t/n: Any relation to Que Sera Sera’s Kang Tae Joo? Hehe)” ~ or Kang Ho, Kang Woo ahaha aside from other Kangs (Choi Kang, Choi Kang Chil Woo)

So Eric is to play Jung Yumi’s ex-boy friend?

      1. ROLF Kang Tae Ha! Kang Tae Ha!

The set up for the drama is certainly very different from Discovery of Romance, the novel, which I’m happy to see
