Comeback concert to be held on 24 & 25 March on Olympic Park
Planned tour of Asia to start from April
Returning to the music scene after 4 years, Shinhwa will stand on the stage of Asia.
Shinhwa, due to release their 10th album in mid-March, will be holding their comeback concert on 24-25 March at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena, and will also be embarking on their Asia tour from April onwards.
Although the dates for the Asia tour concert dates have yet to be completely firmed up, it’s been confirmed that the tour – starting from Shanghai – will take them to Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. There will be 3 shows in China, 2 shows in Japan and 1 show each in Taiwan and Singapore.
According to a Shinhwa rep, the tour will end in July and the group will be meeting Korean fans with a new album in the later part of the year, amidst active promotions for this year.
The rep explained, “Besides the 4 countries that have been confirmed, we’re in discussions with other countries as well. Shinhwa was very well-received in 2006-2007 in Asia. There are plans to meet the overseas fans to commemorate the 14th anniversary concert.”
The countdown to the start of Shinhwa’s full-fledged activities will begin with Lee Minwoo’s discharge from military service on 2 March. With Lee Minwoo back from military service, the six members will be holding a press conference in Seoul to announce their comeback and new album.
Shinhwa, since their debut on 24 March 1998, has kept their original line-up intact and will celebrate their 14th anniversary this year, making them the longest-running idol group in Korea.
